The L.A. Clippers have had a major roster shakeup this offseason, losing All-Star guard Chris Paul and crossover king Jamal Crawford, but bringing in a slew of solid players like Blake Griffin (re-signed), Danilo Gallinari, Patrick Beverley, Sam Dekker, Lou Williams, and Montrezl Harrell. While L.A. improved their roster in many areas, the team still lacks a point guard who can create for himself as well as others, and that's where Milos Teodosic comes in.

According to Nikos Varlas of Eurohoops.net, the longtime European guard, who has longed for a chance in the NBA, is said to be negotiating a three-year, $24 million deal with the L.A. Clippers. A major factor in whether a deal actually gets done is the Clippers' meeting with free agent point guard Derrick Rose, who is making his rounds and gauging teams' interests and offers.

Teodosic has been playing professionally in Europe (mainly Greece with Olympiakos and Russia with CSKA Moscow) for 12 seasons, beginning his career back in 2004. In his last three Euroleague seasons with the Russian team, Teodosic averaged a solid 15.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 2.7 three-pointers per game on 44.8 percent shooting from the field, 40.4 percent from downtown, and a clutch 88.5 percent shooting from the free line in just 27.5 minutes per game. He is highly regarded as one of the best European players due in large part to his shot-making and ability to find teammates. Teodosic had previously been linked to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls, and Brooklyn Nets.

The Clippers will meet with Rose on Monday night, where they'll get a better understanding of whether or not there's significant enough interest to add him. As of Wednesday, the Clippers have an $8.4 million mid-level exception to use, but they'll be in the repeater tax once again if they use the full amount.

However, it doesn't seem like the team is too worried about that, as billionaire owner Steve Ballmer has committed to paying whatever it takes, including not making a profit, to get his team to the championship level. The addition of Jerry West as a consultant to head coach and President Doc Rivers as well as Vice President Lawrence Frank has already shown a different direction being taken by the team.

Stay tuned for the latest.
