The news for Xbox users who have been patiently waiting for MLB The Show to slide over to its console just keeps getting better and better. First, it was announced last year that the PlayStation-only franchise would be coming out on Xbox in 2021. And, now, it will be available on Xbox Game Pass when the game is launched.

According to Kyle Orland from arstechnica.com, over 18 million Xbox Game Pass subscribers will now have free access to the game once it is released. The subscription based option for Xbox users provides free games of varying types and genres for those who are subscribed. Adding MLB The Show to the mix is an undoubtedly big get:

“As we said from the beginning, this is an incredible moment for all of us, and bringing the franchise to more players and baseball fans is something that we at MLB, MLB Players, Inc., and Xbox are all excited about. We can’t wait for Xbox fans to experience the fastest, deepest, and most intense moment-to-moment baseball action yet,” Microsoft said in a press release.

Once the MLB 2K franchise hung up the cleats in 2014, Xbox users have grown antsy waiting for a legitimate baseball game to come back to their end. MLB The Show provides all of that and then some.

San Diego Padres superstar Fernando Tatis Jr. graces the cover on this year's edition of the video game as the franchise spreads out its options for gamers. It is set to be released on April 20.
