MLB The Show 23 Update 1.08 Notes

MLB The Show 23 released update 1.08 for all platforms earlier today. The update brings improvements to Diamond Dynasty, Online-Head-To-Head, Uniforms, and more. The update comes out a week after patch 1.07, which addressed changes to Ranked Seasons & Battle Royale Program rewards.

This week's update didn't include any changes to gameplay or live content balance changes. There were no developer notes either, as it was a relatively small update this time around. That being said, it's nice to see San Diego Studio constantly polish their game post-release.

Perhaps the biggest changes are the improvements to Diamond Dynasty. Squad Filters are now available for Mini Seasons. Previously, there was no way to filter by team or card type, despite the fact that you could do it in other modes. The filters will now make Mini-Season team management more convenient.

Another great Diamond Dynasty change is the removal of a bug that would allow to Captain Boosts to stay active. This would occur, even if the Captain was replaced by another player. Previously, you could replace the captain with a bench player who probably needed the boost more than the captain did.

And last but not least, a crash that would occur in online head-to-head matches has been fixed. It seems the crash would mostly occur due to pulling up the co-op chat menu, though it seems that's not the case anymore.

The following has been improved in Diamond Dynasty:

• Squad filters can now be used in Mini Seasons.
• Fixed a bug which would allow Captain boosts to stay active if the Captain was replaced by a player on the bench in the manage squad screen.

Online Head-To-Head:

• Fixed a crash that could occur due to co-op chat menu.

March & October Franchise:

• Added the ability to access draft prospect lists from the Amateur Big Board even when all scouts have an active assignment.

The following Uniforms have been updated:

• Updated BAL City Connect helmet details.
• Updated ARI uniform items with latest details.
• Updated CIN City Connect jerseys with latest details.

Miscellaneous: 

• Various commentary updates and adjustments.
