The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Boston Red Sox 28-5 at Fenway Park on Friday night. No, that is not a typo. Toronto came into Boston fresh out of the All-Star break and embarrassed the Red Sox.

The Red Sox now find themselves in fourth place and just two games above .500. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are in third place trailing the Rays and Yankees. But they have to feel on top of the world at the moment.

The MLB world, and entire sports world for that matter, reacted strongly to the Red Sox 28-5 defeat.

However, Boston was jinxed from the beginning. Barstool Sports shared the following post with a caption stating that the Red Sox “might not lose a game again” after actress Sydney Sweeney threw out the first pitch.

Let's just say the Tweet did not age well.

Jomboy Media posted an image of Lourdes Gurriel Jr making cocktails in the dugout during the blowout.

Blue Jays fans made their presence known at Fenway Park.

This play summed up the night for the Red Sox.

However, this was the standout play of the game.

Raimel Tapia hit a blast to centerfield. Boston's Jarren Duran lost the ball in the lights. By the time he picked the baseball up, the ball bounced at the warning track in deep centerfield. However, Duran did not hustle after the ball. His lackluster effort led to an inside-the-park grand slam for Raimel Tapia.
