The Los Angeles Dodgers will take on the Arizona Diamondbacks in LA and their newest acquisition, Albert Pujols, will make his debut. The future Hall of Famer will start at first base and bat cleanup for the Dodgers on Monday night, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.

After the veteran was released from the Los Angeles Angels, his whereabouts and future in the league remained in question after teams failed to bring him in. However, he ultimately ended up making the short move to the Dodgers and will immediately slot into the starting lineup.

Pujols rocking any color other than red is certainly going to take some getting used to. After spending his entire career with the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Angels, this will be his first time sporting blue. Also, his number has changed, due to phenom shortstop Corey Seager rocking the number 5 that Pujols had for so long.

For Pujols and the Dodgers, this is an exciting time and the veteran has insisted he isn't ready to hang it up just yet. He had even drawn interest in joining the Dominican Republic in the Olympic Qualifiers, but his contract with the Dodgers will give him a shot for playing time as well as a shot at a World Series title.

Pujols is there for one reason, and it's a pretty simple one.

It looked bleak regarding Pujols' future in the league, but the Dodgers picked up the phone and only time will tell if he can turn it around and make contributions for the reigning World Series champions.
