The Dodgers are arguably the most balanced team in MLB and are catching the attention of many. LA features one of the deepest lineups the game has ever seen, a stacked starting rotation, and a sneaky-talented bullpen. But that bullpen is currently without reliever Blake Treinen and the most recent update from manager Dave Robert's doesn't bode well for his status moving forward.

Dave Roberts said Blake Treinen’s arm still isn’t responding and will have an MRI next week.

Dodgers beat writer Bill Plunkett shared Dave Robert's exact quote on Twitter.

“The arm still doesn’t feel good. It’s obviously more than we initially thought. Clearly.”

Roberts also reportedly called Blake Treinen the Dodgers most “valuable reliever.”

The Dodgers should fare well without him as they currently lead the NL in bullpen ERA. They have a number of weapons that can provide nightmare at-bats for opposing hitters.

But Treinen had posted a 1-1 record with a 3.00 ERA on the season. His ridiculous 0.333 WHIP also stands as out as one of the most impressive numbers on the team. It should be noted that he has just pitched in 3 games this year, but that number remains impressive despite the small sample size.

It is troubling that the reliever reportedly hasn't picked up a baseball in a couple of weeks. If his MRI next week shows any real damage Treinen's season could be in jeopardy. Despite the strength of their bullpen, that would truly be a brutal loss for the Dodgers as they look to win the NL West and make a deep postseason run.
