With the Los Angeles Dodgers winning Game 7 against the Toronto Blue Jays, 5-4, and winning a second straight championship, it marked the end of what was an emotional rollercoaster for every player on the field. As Dodgers fans are still reeling from the Game 7 comeback win to capture the championship, star Freddie Freeman would shout out Clayton Kershaw after the game.

While Kershaw is stepping away from the game and retiring, he ended it in the best possible way, capturing his third championship in a thrilling Game 7. When Freeman spoke about the craziness of the contest he was just part of, he would send an emotional message to Kerahaw at the end.

“Oh my gosh, I think that game had every single thing you could possibly have, just an absolutely incredible game, incredible series, a grind for both teams,” Freeman said, via Fox Sports. “You know, back-to-backs is so hard to do, and to be able to pull that off and be a part of the group that does it. It's absolutely incredible. And I’m just so happy Clayton Kershaw is a three-time champ.”

While Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto won World Series MVP after pitching three times against the Blue Jays, all impressively, he was one of the many reasons the team came out as champions. Freeman would point out players like Miguel Rojas and Max Muncy who had key home runs in Game 7, but also spoke about how “electric” Yamamoto was, especially pitching a strong 2.1 innings after starting the day before

“Absolutely incredible,” Freeman said. “I think when you walk into spring training, you have the target on your back. We had one in the previous year, and you know everyone's trying to take you down, and when you put on this uniform, you know you're expected to win, and there's a lot that comes with it, and we take a lot of pride in that.”

“And for us to be able to do it again a year after with immense pressure on us, that says a lot about this group,” Freeman continued. “And I don't know if there's enough words for Yoshinobu; that was absolutely incredible. The guy pitched yesterday and started. I still can't get over it, and he was electric.”

At any rate, Los Angeles looks to make it three straight championships next year.
