The Chicago White Sox came up big at home on Sunday with a 12-6 victory in the ALDS against the Houston Astros. It also appears they had a certain fan who helped their fortunes.
“Cane Guy” became a viral sensation after he put his spell on the Astros apparently. The White Sox were losing 5-1 but once the lifelong supporter, Rob Holt, started pointing his cane at Houston, the home team made a comeback and started absolutely raking.
“I’m just a fan,” Holt said, via Block Club Chicago. “I brought my cane with and screwed around with it, and it took a life of its own.”

After his antics with the cane, the White Sox pitchers tossed 5.1 innings of scoreless baseball, allowing no hits and striking out 10. Could this really be their secret weapon? They also banged out 16 hits in the victory, absolutely terrorizing Houston's arms.

Chicago is now right back in this series heading into Game 4, which was supposed to be played on Monday but was postponed due to rain. The White Sox certainly have the momentum right now and you better believe they'll want “Cane Guy” to be in that exact same seat working his magic once again. Baseball is a game of superstitions, after all.
