The New York Yankees have been one of the best teams in baseball, and now they Bronx Bombers are getting back to full strength as they prepare for October.
After receiving news that both Luis Severino and Giancarlo Stanton are ready to rejoin the big-league club next week, all indications point to reliever Dellin Betances making his return after a single rehab appearance for New York's Triple-A affiliate in Scranton:
Dellin will make one more appearance for Trenton tomorrow and then could re-join the big league roster. https://t.co/2xv9Renl5c

Like Severino, Betances has yet to pitch for the Yankees this season. He had a shoulder impingement during Spring Training, then suffered a low-grade lat strain during his recovery.
Although the Yankees have been without their setup man for the entire season, their bullpen has–once again–been one of the best in baseball. New York's relievers rank eighth in ERA and second in fWAR behind dominant seasons from Aroldis Chapman, Adam Ottavino and Zack Britton.
A tall, right-handed flamethrower, Betances was one of the most dominant relief pitchers in baseball between 2014 and 2018. During that span, he ranked second among all relievers in fWAR, just behind Chapman.
Despite recent concerns with respect to his ability to command the strike zone, Betances has still been an incredibly dominant force in the Yankees bullpen.
New York struck gold by re-upping with Britton and signing Ottavino in free agency, but Betances would make the relief corps that much more imposing as the Yankees prepare for the postseason.
Barring any setbacks during his rehab appearance, Betances is ready to give the Yankees a big lift down the stretch.
