The New York Yankees have long been known for having one of the more powerful lineups in baseball. This year's version of the Yankees is no exception, as Anthony Rizzo has been going nuts, with eight home runs already. Aaron Judge has four jacks, but Giancarlo Stanton has yet to find his groove in 2022. Well, that might be about to change.
On Wednesday, Stanton hit a 417-foot blast to the opposite field in Yankees Stadium. In doing so, he became the seventh fastest player to reach 350 career home runs.

This was Stanton's 1,341st career game between his time with the Yankees and Miami Marlins. He is still just 32 years old and likely to have many more home runs during his career.
The six players that reached the milestone faster than Stanton were a who's who in baseball history. They were Mark McGuire (1,280), Juan Gonzalez (1,298), Alex Rodriguez (1,301), Harmon Killebrew (1,319), Albert Pujols (1,320) and Babe Ruth (1,329).
Stanton joined Ruth and Rodriguez as players to reach the milestone as a member of the Yankees. The Yankees slugger had been cold for much of the year, with his last home run coming on April 9th against the rival Boston Red Sox.
As the weather warms up in the northeast, you can likely count on the Yankees Bronx Bomber to catch fire and show off his power a bit more consistently. The biggest issue with Stanton throughout his career has not been his power, but staying healthy.
He missed major portions of the 2015, 2019 and 2020 MLB seasons. The biggest question facing New York this year will be their pitching though, as the offense is expected to be among the league's best.
