Jeter even took some time to reveal an answer to a long awaited question and then roasted a social media troll.
It’s my hair but it’s a shag… a Ralph Tresvant shag. https://t.co/M55MMeyBVk

One of the best stories in regards to Jeter's social media presence came from Yankees reporter Bryan Hoch.
I remember going to Derek’s locker circa ‘09 or ‘10 to ask if some (fake) Twitter account was really him. “I don’t do social media,” he said.

And finally, former teammate and public rival Alex Rodriguez welcomed Jeter to Twitter. Perhaps the two have squashed their presumed beef? Or maybe A-Rod is just being friendly. Either way, it was a bit surprising to see Rodriguez mention Jeter.

Derek Jeter was a near-unanimous first ballot Hall of Famer who recorded over 3,000 hits and led the Yankees to five World Series championships. He is one of the most well-known players to ever take an MLB field and is a legend in New York.
Since retiring, he has been involved in a number of different endeavors including running the Miami Marlins. However, he departed from the Marlins earlier this year.
It will be interesting to see what kind of content Jeter shares on his social media. And there is no question it is good to see “The Captain” on Twitter.
