The NBA has decided to suspend Indiana Pacers guard Monta Ellis and Detroit Pistons guard Reggie Bullock five games each for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy.

The league announced the suspensions on Friday and didn't provide any further detail regarding the offenses.

Ellis averaged 8.5 points per game last season with the Pacers while Bullock scored just 4.5 a night for the Pistons.

The suspensions of course are not a huge deal for either team, with five games being something any team should be able to deal with.

The Pacers released a statement saying they were aware of the matter with Ellis.

The Pistons would need to extend a qualifying offer for Bullock if they intend to keep him this summer, otherwise he becomes an unrestricted free agent. Re-signing him may be an unlikely situation however considering Detroit's cap situation.
