Moss Book II  was the only PlayStation VR title announced at the most recent State of Play. There, Moss Book developers Polyarc showed off what was next for protagonist Quill and her uncle Argus.

The announcement trailer showed off a variety of different new locations, environmental interactions, puzzles, and dangers. In a press release on the Offical PlayStation Blog, Principal Engineer and Design Director Joshua Stiksma said: “In Moss, players built an extraordinary bond with Quill. They not only lifted her up guiding her throughout gameplay, but they also reached into the world as their own character—their every action had an impact.”

The sequel will deal with “a winged tyrant leading the Arcane forces” who is hunting down Quill. It will feature a myriad of new terrain, puzzles, and enemies. New allies and old friends will also be making an appearance in the sequel. They also hope Book II will remind players of the “power of the emotional feedback they can experience within VR.”

Additionally, weapons like the hammer and new nature attunement abilities will be able to create new pathways in the environment. They then closed out the statement with a reiteration of their goals – “to make the most of the capabilities of VR to create truly immersive gameplay experiences that ask the player to interact with the world and its characters in compelling and rewarding ways”. As of now, Moss Book II does not yet have a release date. However, it is one of the most awaited games for PlayStation VR.
