The NBA 2K series is one of the most successful gaming franchises in sports. YouTube streamer Flight23White has become renowned for his videos regarding the basketball simulation.

Naturally, there would be interest in getting “Flight” involved in future iterations, in some capacity. Only, he does not seem very interested.

Ronnie Singh — also known as Ronnie 2K — reached out to Flight23White with a proposition, saying “the community and I wants you involved…”

However, the streamer publicly denied Ronnie 2K's offer.

Flight23White had quite a bit of support in the replies on Twitter. Perhaps Ronnie 2K is not as in tune with the NBA 2K “community” as he would like to think.

One user lauded Flight's decision, telling him not to “sell out.”

Another humorously included a side-by-side image of Flight and Michael Jordan.

Meanwhile, another Twitter user used a popular NBA reactions clip to poke fun at Ronnie 2K.

Of course, a partnership with NBA 2K could be seen as quite lucrative.

After all, the NBA 2K League has become a mainstay in modern Esports, equipped with sponsors and cash prizes. It is also the game of choice for NBA players around the league.

The NBA actually constructed an NBA 2k Players Tournament, which was eventually won by Phoenix Suns combo guard Devin Booker.

However, Flight23White is having a good deal of success merely branding himself. He has 2.12 million subscribers on YouTube, 1.7 million followers on IG, and 380,000 followers on Twitter.

While Ronnie 2K and the other developers might have hoped Flight's presence would have more resonance with more casual fans, it would seem he is intent on doing his own thing.
