Make no mistake about it: Cam Reddish's goal is to win the 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year award.

Reddish made this known at a JC Penny event in New York City, all while in front of De'Andre Hunter and Coby White — both highly rated NBA Draft prospects.

Reddish is still recovering from the minor procedure he underwent two weeks ago to address his core muscle injury. While there are plenty of questions on how his play will translate in the pros, he is expected to be a top 10 pick.

In the same event, Reddish admitted that he expects to be drafted between three to eight in the draft. The former Duke standout could probably crack in the top five, but most mock drafts see him landing to the Atlanta Hawks at No.8.

Reddish's game is eerily similar to Paul George's of the Oklahoma City Thunder — pull-up jumpers, 3-pointers off the dribble and athletic drives. He is also a solid defender.

If Reddish can remain consistent, he can become a fron-trunner for 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year honors. However, he has to compete against his former Duke Blue Devils teammates Zion Williamson and R.J. Barrett, who are both expected to be drafted in the top three.

It will be a daunting task, for sure. But at least Cam Reddish has a motivation and goal heading into the 2019-20 NBA campaign.
