Former Duke University forward Cam Reddish is officially headed to the Atlanta Hawks. On Thursday evening, the Hawks selected the former Blue Devils standout with the No. 10 overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft en route to formally kicking off Reddish's professional tenure as a NBA forward.

Part of a stellar three-headed monster during his collegiate playing days at Duke, Reddish lasted just one season in the ACC while ultimately forgoing his remaining three years of eligibility in favor of joining the NBA ranks.

While most certainly making the correct call in the end as the up-and-comer showed flashes of some serious skill in what would become his lone go-round at Duke, Reddish will now head to Hawks to join Trae Young.

Despite the fact that Reddish often found himself a bit outside of the limelight despite his status as a top recruit coming out of high school, there was never really a doubt that Reddish would ultimately come off the 2019 NBA Draft board inside the top 10 after just one season with the heralded Blue Devils.

It is also worth noting that the New Orleans Pelicans previously kicked things off earlier in the evening by selecting another former Blue Devils standout in big man Zion Williamson with the No. 1 overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft.

Not only that, but a third Duke alumnus in fellow forward RJ Barrett has also been selected in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft with the Hawks claiming him at No. 10 overall.
