Michael Porter Jr. might just find things unchanged after a torrid year where he has experienced his share of injuries, his first — a back ailment that cut his season short after the first two minutes of his season opener with Missouri, and most recently a hip spasm that made him miss his second pro day in front of curious lottery-picking teams.

Yet the injury woes have done little to deter teams, with even the Sacramento Kings considering taking the 6-foot-10 forward at No. 2 overall.

While Porter doesn't have a huge sample size to show for, he's managed to impress during his NBA Draft Combine workouts and his first pro day, where he shot the ball extremely well and exhibited a plethora of finishes that made scouts and front office executives fall in love with his talent.

“But now, Porter Jr. and his agent, Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports, have done enough convincing that multiple top-five teams are still taking this long, hard look. There was an early June group workout in Chicago that left the Kings and everyone else in the building impressed, as Porter Jr. shot the ball very well – albeit in a stand-still setting.”

Porter was previously a top-two prospect coming out of winning it all with Nathan Hale High School, along with European wonder Luka Doncic. His stock was through the roof, due to his still-growing body and the offensive arsenal he displayed during his high school career.

Yet the short sample size and the one-on-none workouts have been enough to make lottery teams wonder if he's worth a shot that high up the draft board.
