Former Missouri forward Michael Porter Jr. is widely viewed as being one of the top prospects in this year's class for the 2018 NBA Draft. This has put him in line with the expectation that he will be one of the first few names off the board on Thursday night.

According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, Porter Jr. has reportedly inked a multi-year endorsement deal with Puma.

The 19-year-old joins a select group of other top-projected draft picks in Arizona's Deandre Ayton, DUke's Marvin Bagley III, and Texas' Zhaire Smith that have chosen to ink a deal with the Puma. The company has risen up the ranks over the last couple of weeks by being able to sign away some promising talent in this year's draft class.

Porter Jr. is one of the more unique players with his offensive skill set and athletic ability that could translate well at the next level. He has shown to be a versatility scorer that can create his own shot while stretching the floor beyond the arc. However, there have been some growing concerns about his health as he had to miss nearly his entire lone collegiate season due to a lower back injury that required him to have microdiscectomy surgery on his L3 and L4 spinal disks. He was able to make his return to the court in March in time for the SEC tournament and the NCAA tournament.

These back issues have appeared to linger on as it forced him to cancel a pair of workouts this past week, which could hurt his stock. Despite that, there have reports that numerous teams are interested in taking him early in the first round from as high as the Sacramento Kings at the second overall spot while the defending Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers could be a landing spot.
