Kyle Lowry went off to a hot start for the Toronto Raptors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.

With the focus on players like Kawhi Leonard, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Lowry turned heads with a historic performance that has never been produced in Raptors history — that is until now.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, the 33-year-old playmaker became the first player in franchise history to record at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists in a single half in the postseason. Lowry finished the opening half with 21 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Lowry was roasted for hitting the side of the backboard on his final game-winning shot attempt as time expired in Game 5. Of course, the replay showed that Draymond Green — in a brilliant feat of help defense — actually rotated over and got a fingertip on the ball to alter the shot’s course.

Nonetheless, it seems the veteran guard is determined to make up for his mistake in the game, and his first-half performance makes that abundantly clear.

Certainly, Lowry delivering a ton of clutch shots and assists to win the Raptors the championship would make sense, as he has typified this organization for many years.
