Ever wondered what former San Antonio Spurs champion Boris Diaw is up to these days? Well, if you follow the now-retired forward on social media, you would see that he's enjoying his life after basketball.

Jabari Young of The Athletic recently caught up with the former NBA champion. During the interview, which took place in Charlotte in a game between the Spurs and the Charlotte Hornets in March, a familiar staff member who works at the chapel area of the arena saw Diaw, exchanged pleasantries with him, and asked whether the Frenchman had any plans of coaching.

The man wonders if Diaw is doing any coaching, and Diaw puts that notion to rest.

“No,” he responds. “I’m having fun.”

People can't blame Diaw for not wanting to get into that gig for now. Coaching is a pretty stressful job. He's having way too much fun with his free time and all this traveling he's doing. Just check his Instagram. In fact, he recently posted a photo of himself, along with three of his former Spurs teammates, Tiago Splitter, Manu Ginobili, and Patty Mills, having fun on a boat, reminiscent of the viral Banana Boat crew. He calls this particular crew “The Wiener Boat Boys.”

Diaw officially retired from basketball in September 2018. He last played in the NBA in the 2016-17 season as a member of the Utah Jazz. Following his final campaign in the NBA, Diaw spent one more season overseas with the Levallois Metropolitans of the LNB Pro A before calling it a career.

Diaw's best years were with the Spurs, where he was a key piece in their 2014 championship run. He also won the Sixth Man of the Year award in 2005-06 with the Phoenix Suns.
