Jaylen Brown and Damian Lillard have been named the NBA's Players of the Week.

Brown averaged 25.0 points and 6.3 rebounds as the Boston Celtics went 3-0. Lillard, meanwhile, put up 45.0 points, 11.0 assists and 7.0 rebounds per game as the Portland Trail Blazers went 3-0:

Following the Blazers' 127-119 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, Lillard said he was playing the best basketball of his NBA career. The superstar guard is averaging 29.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 7.9 assists on the season while shooting 46.3 percent from the field, 39.7 percent from beyond the arc and 88.8 percent from the free-throw line.

The Blazers are 23-27 on the season and on a hot streak thanks to Lillard's heroics. They are in ninth place in the Western Conference standings. Lillard was named an All-Star reserve last week. He's now a five-time NBA All-Star.

For the Celtics, Brown has been playing like an All-Star this season, but he unfortunately won't be joining teammates Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum in Chicago. Brown, though, should hold his head high, as he's one of the best young players in the league and figures to make an All-Star team soon.

In 40 games this season, Brown is averaging 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists. The 23-year-old is shooting 49.7 percent from the floor, 37.9 percent from the 3-point line and 75.3 percent from the charity stripe.

The Celtics are 33-15 on the season and well on their way to redeeming themselves from last season's dysfunctional campaign.
