Former Cleveland Cavaliers center Channing Frye is going to defend his former teammate. In the greatest of all time debate, which is most often between Michael Jordan and LeBron James, Frye is clearly Team LeBron.

After ripping Jordan earlier this week by saying the Chicago Bulls legend wouldn't be as dominant in today's NBA while also stating that James would be the GOAT “if you took the rings away,” Frye is doubling down on his Jordan criticism.

In an episode of his own podcast, Talkin' Blazers, the 13-year NBA veteran spoke on how Jordan's style of play would lead to players in today's league not wanting to play with him:

“He only had really one job. And that was to just score. And he did that at an amazing, amazing rate. But I don’t feel like his way of winning then would translate to what it is now. Guys wouldn’t want to play with him.”

Frye has been a major advocate of putting James over Jordan on the GOAT list due to James' more all-around play in terms of rebounding and passing the ball.

And while Jordan was certainly a top-notch scorer in the league, his career 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game are nothing to scoff at for a shooting guard.

Obviously, having played with James, Frye has seen firsthand how good the 35-year-old superstar can be. Frye and James played together in Cleveland for three seasons between 2016 and 2018. Frye was an important part of the Cavs' 2016 Finals run and averaged 7.5 points and 3.6 rebounds off the bench that season.
