Have you ever placed a bet, then later wished you hadn't? It seems that's exactly what happened to former NBA big man Charles Oakley, according to a report from larrybrownsports.com.

In his recent article, Brown reports that Oakley was arrested at the Cosmopolitan casino in Las Vegas on July 8. Officials from the Nevada Gaming Board say he was “suspected of adding to or reducing his wager on a gambling game after the outcome was known.”

While it is unclear which game Oakley was participating in, TMZ reports that he attempted to pull back a $100 chip after realizing he was going to lose. The Casino took a look at their security footage and confirmed the allegation, which led to his arrest.

Oakley was taken into custody and charged with committing or attempting to commit a fraudulent act in a gaming establishment.

If convicted, Oakley could face a prison sentence of one to six years, though it sounds like this case will be resolved without internment, according to TMZ.

As most NBA fans will remember, Charles Oakley, now 54 years of age, was involved in an on-court altercation during a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden in February. “Oak,” as he's more commonly known, became physical with security guards, who eventually removed him from the arena under arrest. To this day, Oakley is still in a legal battle with his former team.
