Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard called out Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George for switching NBA teams and “running from the grind.”

George has played for the Indiana Pacers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Clippers during his NBA career, while Lillard has been with the Blazers since day one.

Lillard ended George’s stint with the Thunder last season after hitting that series-clinching 3 over George in Game 5 of the Western Conference playoffs at the buzzer from nearly half-court.

Lillard waved goodbye to George, Russell Westbrook and the Thunder, and tensions have been high ever since.

Things got heated again on Saturday during the Blazers-Clippers game, restarting the feud between George and Lillard.

It is great to have the NBA back. These types of feuds are exactly what sports fans were missing during the hiatus.

Unfortunately, there’s not that high of a chance the Blazers and Clippers will meet in the 2020 playoffs. Portland, if it makes the postseason, would face the other team in L.A., the Los Angeles Lakers instead.

However, since all the players are in one bubble, this rivalry is something to pay attention to. Everyone thought Westbrook and Lillard didn’t like each other, but it appears it’s the Paul George-Damian Lillard feud that we should really be paying attention to.
