Former Sacramento Kings point guard Mike Bibby will now become a head coach in the BIG3 League.

Bibby, who was the captain of the Ghost Ballers last season, will take over as the head coach of the Aliens squad for the 2020 season.

The Aliens had their first season last year and were coached by Nate Archibald. They finished the season at just 3-5.

He'll now guide a roster featuring Greg Oden, Shannon Brown and Brandon Rush. Rush was the team's leading scorer (13.5) and rebounder (6.9).

While Bibby has spent the past three seasons as a player in the BIG3 League, the point guard is best known for his time in the NBA. The 14-year veteran spent seven eventful seasons with the Sacramento Kings, leading them to within a game of the NBA Finals in 2002. He also led Sacramento to five consecutive postseason appearances.

Bibby also played for the Vancouver Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, Miami Heat and New York Knicks. He concluded his playing career during the 2011-12 season with the Knicks.

The 41-year-old holds career averages of 14.7 points and 5.5 assists per game in 1,001 games played and 950 starts.

This isn't the first time that Bibby will serve as a head coach of a basketball team. He actually coached a high school basketball team last season.
