The highly anticipated showdown between NBA powerhouses Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets just got more interesting. After missing the past game for their previous teams, it looks like Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo could return and face each other on Sunday.

Durant missed the Nets' game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday in order to rest his left hamstring that has been previously injured. Brooklyn called it injury management, which is a common theme this season due to the compressed schedule of the shortened NBA campaign.

Now, the 2014 NBA MVP has been listed as available, alongside Bruce Brown and Nic Claxton.

As for Giannis, he was nursing a right ankle sprain that caused him to sit out their recent game against the Chicago Bulls. Milwaukee still won the game without their superstar, though, as Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton stepped up for 22 points each.

The Greek Freak is listed as probable for the contest, but that is definitely a good sign since it means Antetokounmpo has a greater chance to play than sit out.

The return of the two MVP-caliber players is certainly huge, especially for both the Nets and Bucks who are vying for better positioning in the NBA playoffs. Brooklyn is atop the East Standings with a 43-21 record, while Milwaukee is not too far behind at third with a 39-24 record.

Oh, it is also worth noting that before sitting out, both Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo went absolutely nuts.

Against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, KD exploded for 42 points and 10 assists. On the other hand, before playing only 46 seconds against the Houston Rockets, Giannis bagged 29 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, three steals and one block against the Charlotte Hornets.

Ready your pop corns, NBA fans. When these two players face off, there will certainly be fireworks!
