The third season of the Big3 Basketball League will excite fans once again, as a lot of familiar faces will be joining the draft pool this year, including two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom.

Odom has spent significant time off the court to deal with personal issues, including substance abuse that almost cost him his life a few months ago. He recently resumed playing basketball outside of the NBA, suiting up for the Philippines in the ASEAN Basketball League.

Lamar Odom, 39, last played in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2012-13 season. However, he was most remembered for his sting with the Los Angeles Lakers, a team he helped win two NBA championships in 2009 and 2010.

The 13-year veteran is known as one of the best rebounding forwards during his time. Odom's athleticism and speed made him a problem for taller, slower opponents. He played most of his career as a reliable sixth man, but he made a name for himself by playing that role.

Odom has career averages of 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while playing 961 games in the NBA.

Big3 has made a reputation of giving former NBA players the chance to play the sport they've loved their entire lives; a second chance to shine and entertain the fans who once cheered for them.

But for Lamar Odom, playing basketball is more than just his love for the game of basketball and its fans. It's about getting his life back together.

Fans wish him nothing but the best in his life.
