LaMelo Ball thinks he should be taken with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

LaMelo’s NBA draft stock is steadily rising, and there are some who believe he's a lock to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft.

Lonzo Ball, LaMelo's brother, went No. 2 to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017.

So, does Ball believe he should be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft? “Most definitely. I believe in myself and I’ve worked hard to get here,” Ball told Yahoo Sports. “The other guys at the top of the draft, James [Wiseman] and Anthony [Edwards], are very talented too. But just in the way I believe in myself, I think I’m the top pick.”

The hype around LaMelo Bell keeps growing seemingly every day. In a high school game back in 2017, LaMelo scored a whopping 92 points, including 41 in the fourth quarter.

Now that he’s taller and stronger, NBA scouts believe LaMelo can succeed at the NBA level, though he remains turnover prone. LaMelo can hit 3s in bunches due to his quick release, though he’s a very streak shooter. Like Lonzo, LaMelo is a gifted passer as well, with one scout even likening the youngest Ball brother to Luka Doncic.
