Jamal Crawford is back in the NBA after Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported the veteran guard is signing with the Brooklyn Nets, who are in desperate need of bodies for the โ€œbubbleโ€ games down in Orlando, Florida.

As expected, the NBA world is thrilled for Crawford, who is one of the nicest people you'll ever interact with and just so happens to be a great basketball player.

Crawford played with the Phoenix Suns during the 2018-19 NBA season. He averaged 7.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 64 regular-season games while shooting 39.7 percent from the field, 33.2 percent from beyond the arc and 84.5 percent from the free-throw line.

On April 9 against the Dallas Mavericks โ€” in what was Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki's final home game in Dallas โ€” Crawford made NBA history by scoring 51 points. He became the oldest player in NBA history to score 50-plus points in a game. Crawford also became the first player ever to score that many points off the bench in an NBA contest.

Crawford has career NBA averages of 14.6 points in 1,326 games. Heโ€™s won the Sixth Man of the Year Award three times. The dribbling master can still get buckets in bunches and is a great veteran to have in the Nets' locker room.

It's also worth mentioning that Crawford has a strong relationship with Brooklyn superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, so maybe the Seattle native will be back on the team in 2020-21 as well.

The 2019-20 NBA season will resume on July 30 at the Walt Disney Campus. The Nets will be without Durant, Irving, DeAndre Jordan, Wilson Chandler, Spencer Dinwiddie and Taurean Prince, so it made all the sense in the world for the team to add Jamal Crawford for the NBA restart.
