Despite failing to make an impact in the league this season, former NBA champion Nick Young has not lost one bit of confidence in himself. As a matter of fact, the 33-year-old veteran believes that he would be a perfect fit for the highly-anticipated Space Jam 2 film featuring Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

According to Young, his mere presence on the movie would instantly increase box office sales.

“You gotta have a Swaggy in Space Jam,” he said, via Golden State Warriors team insider Mark Medina. “If you want to sell tickets, you got to have me.”

Young is so invested in being part of the film that he already has a role in mind, as well as exactly how he fits in the storyline.

“I can give them swag once they get their powers taken,” Young added. “They can come to me & I can be a sorcerer of Swag. I can hand it out to them & give them hope.”

That's actually not a bad idea right there. Young is definitely a notable name in the league, and he should be able to bring a bit of comic relief in the film. We're not exactly sure if the writers and producers feel the same way though.

Young was memorably part of the Warriors team that went all the way to bag the title last season. However, the 6-foot-7 shooting guard started this season without a team, until the Denver Nuggets signed him on for around a month back in December. Unfortunately for Young, he was unable to force his way into the team's rotation, and was subsequently waived. Currently, he remains to be a free agent.
