We were once again treated with what has recently become one of the highlights of our week on Sunday night, as ESPN and Netflix aired episodes 7 and 8 of “The Last Dance” focusing on Michael Jordan and the final season of the Chicago Bulls dynasty. As usual, even the biggest NBA stars were one with us in watching Sunday's double-header, and below are some of their best reactions from social media.
One of the main talking points of the episodes centered around the NBA legend's deceased father, James, who was murdered in a carjacking incident back in 1993. Quentin Richardson commented on James' connection with the fans.
That’s awesome that James Jordan would give a random kid the opportunity to meet MJ at games like that. #thelastdance

Former Bulls All-Star guard B.J. Armstrong, who found himself on the opposing side when the Bulls faced the Charlotte Hornets in the 1998 NBA Playoffs, had a lot of things to say during the show. His bit also garnered quite a number of reactions all around.
Talk yo shhhh @bjarmstrong haaa!!

I’m supposed to kill this guy, I’m supposed to dominate this guy….from that point, I did. -MJ on BJ Armstrong in the playoffs. #thelastdance

The infamous fight between current Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and the NBA GOAT was also featured in the episodes, and as expected, this too got a lot of people talking — including one of Kerr's Dubs players, Eric Paschall.
Chill Coach!!! I see the hair was flowing back then! 😂😂😂 @SteveKerr
— Eric Paschall (@epaschall) May 11, 2020
Coach Kerr was not having it!!!!!! 😂😂
— Eric Paschall (@epaschall) May 11, 2020
MJ put them PAWS on Steve Kerr🤣😭
— Kendrick Perkins (@KendrickPerkins) May 11, 2020
This MJ/Kerr fight is a glimpse into so many practices over the time of basketball. Players hate when the coaches are the refs and they make calls against us and often times we take it out on each other and end up fighting. Lol. #thelastdance

After a year in hiatus, Jordan made his triumphant return to the game he loved. This was one of the most emotional moments of Sunday's episodes, and the reactions from the players are testament to this.
“I’m Back!” #TheLastDance

Damn the series lost(rusty), MJ so cold that he went from 45 to 23 from game 1 to game 2 in the playoffs! Haha. That’s legendary! #LivingLegend

In the end, our level of respect and admiration for the great Michael Jordan was once again raised to another level. For Kendrick Perkins, though, the one-time NBA champ expressed his worry about the series coming to an end.
MJ was DIFFERENT💯
