Retired NBA star shooting guard Ray Allen revealed his unsightly head of hair on social media this week, as the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak prevents millions from leaving their homes and interacting with other individuals. Allen, 44, a two-time champion with the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat, showed off his growing hair and bald spot, later challenging ex-teammates LeBron James and Shaquille O'Neal to reveal their respective heads.

“I wasn't gonna post this but two tears in a bucket! This is where I'm at with it,” Allen shared on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon. “For those of you that don’t know I have cut my own hair my whole life so it’s been hard not to put the clippers to it but when I look back at these pics I will remember the Rona!,” the former Milwaukee Bucks and Seattle SuperSonics star continued.

Allen proceeded to tag in the post various NBA stars, both retired and currently playing (outside of the league's forced hiatus), including James, O'Neal, former Detroit Pistons champion small forward Richard Hamilton, Carlos Boozer, and Jermaine O'Neal.

Ray Allen had been known for sporting a clean-shaven head unlike that of Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, but the forced quarantine has made haircuts a thing of the past. He spent two seasons at the end of his career playing alongside James on the Heat, winning a title in 2012-13. James has been balding for quite some time now and has drawn the ire of fans and viewers for his ever-disappearing and sometimes-reemerging hairline, also partially blocked by a headband.

Allen shared the court for a single season with Hall of Fame center O'Neal with the Celtics towards the end of the ex-Lakers MVP, too. The “Big Diesel” also sported a bald head like Allen.
