Reggie Miller has had enough of fans crossing the line during games. The NBA legend is even offering a solution to put an end to these untoward incidents following a shocking episode from Game 4 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards.

This prompted Miller to air his suggestion on how to avoid similar occurrences in the future, via Alex Kennedy of BasketballNews.com:

“I was involved in the Malice at the Palace. The league needs to do a better job of protecting the players… This is getting ridiculous. … Hit ‘em in their pocketbooks.”

Does the league office have the power to impose this proposal by Miller? One thing's for sure, something has to be done as it appears that the usual penalty of banning these people from arenas isn't working. The welcoming of fans back into the games has seen the return of some irreplaceable energy to the whole experience. However, it also showed the despicable side of things.

Reggie Miller has first-hand knowledge on how things could go from bad to worse. He's speaking based on experience so maybe the NBA should take things a notch higher when it comes to preventive measures.
