The BIG3's Ricky Davis is looking to give back to the community he once called home. While in Miami for a BIG3 game at American Airlines Arena, Davis helped feed more than 400 people. He spent time giving back to the homeless in the community by providing meals and supplies.

It's always wonderful to see professional athletes take the time to give back to the communities that helped make them successful. Davis made millions during his professional career and it's nice to see him giving back.

Ricky Davis spent two stints with the Miami Heat during his 12-year career in the NBA. He only played 7 games with the Heat during the 2000-01 season, but he appeared in all 82 games during the 2007-08 season. During that season, Davis averaged 13.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

Davis was a journeyman who bounced around the league. He played for six different teams and never lasted longer than three seasons with any team. Davis was never a superstar in the league, but anytime a player can hang around for 12 seasons, he must be doing something right.

Like many former NBA players, the former first-round pick now plays in Ice Cube's BIG3 league. The 3-on-3 league is well-suited for players like Davis. He still has NBA skills, but may not have the stamina, athleticism, or even desire to continue playing in the NBA or overseas.

Davis is a co-captain for the Ghost Ballers who will play Tri State Friday night at AmericanAirlines Arena.
