A new all-time Top 10 list has been making its rounds on social media of late, and it was able to catch the attention of Basketball Hall of Famer and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, who unsurprisingly, happened to be part of the prestigious list.

O'Neal took a high road approach in reacting to the list, not only acknowledging its validity but also saying that perhaps he was ranked too highly on the list.

There are a lot of great players in the history of the NBA, and surely, every other person would have a different Top 10 list. There are so many factors involved in creating an all-time greats list, and there's also no doubt that each and every ranking will also have its fair share of criticism.

Nonetheless, this is a pretty contentious list, especially if we go by the standards of mainstream media. For one, Hakeem Olajuwon — a two-time NBA champ — is indeed one of the greatest, but it's not every day that you see him in anyone's Top 3. Kobe Bryant at number six is also not something a lot of folks would be on board with.

For his part, though, Shaq did say that he has no major qualms about the above list, except that he would personally place Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Russell — ranked ninth and tenth, respectively — above himself. That's modesty at its finest from O'Neal, who is able to recognize and appreciate what these two greats have contributed to the game even before he came into the picture.
