Tim Duncan has retired from the NBA in 2016, but up to this point, he's still being paid by the San Antonio Spurs.

Yep, you've read it right. If you're in doubt, then see for yourself.

For those who do not know, before Tim Duncan retired, he opted in to his Spurs contract for the 2016-17 season. So when he announced that he it was time to call it quits, San Antonio has decided to waive him for salary cap reasons. The team then used the stretch provision on his contract, allowing them to pay him $1.8 million for three years instead of $6.4 million in just one year.

That's the least the Spurs could do for Duncan, who has led their franchise to five NBA titles while playing his entire career in San Antonio.

The stretch provision has been used for all the players on that list. Luol Deng, who received a ridiculous four-year, $72 million contract from the Los Angeles Lakers in 2016, has agreed to a contract buyout with the team. He's now going to be paid $5 million over the next three years.

Joakim Noah received a similar treatment from the New York Knicks, who decided to stretch the remaining two years of his contract that is still worth $38.7 million.

Even guys like Deron Williams, Monta Ellis, Josh Smith and Larry Sanders, who are currently not in the NBA are still getting paid.

Of all the players in the list, only Duncan has a successful career in the NBA from start to finish. The rest have either regressed over the years or just disappeared from the league.

But for them to get paid millions while doing nothing? Man.
