NBA trainer Chris Brickley clarified that his recent comments on his client Carmelo Anthony were purely his own opinions and not a way to speak for the 10-time All-Star.
Brickley, who helped organize the Black Ops runs at Life Time Athletic at Sky in New York, took to Instagram to clear the air after going on The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 last week, noting that Anthony is better than 60-to-70% of players rostered in NBA teams at the moment.

My well publicized comments about Carmelo Anthony were MY personal opinions and I’m not speaking for Melo or anyone else,” Brickley said on an Instagram post. “I stand completely by the fact he deserves to be in the league. I also stand by the fact when he decides to move on it should be on his own terms. He has a lot to offer any team on and off the court.”
NBA coaches and executives have had their concerns about Melo's ability to play the game after playing only in 10 games last season, along with his mentality and willingness to play a role off the bench, with most roster spots already filled at this time of the offseason.
Brickley argued Melo could be a starter under the right situation, but that seems like a far fetched hope rather than a feasible opportunity, given the dry state of free agency after a torrid first two weeks.
If Anthony is to make an NBA roster again, he must be willing to come off the bench and accept a reduced role, as his days as a perennial scoring king are likely behind him.
