The Charlotte Hornets have struggled during the 2023-24 season. Charlotte may look to be active ahead of the NBA trade deadline, and Terry Rozier is a player who has been mentioned in trade rumors. Rozier would also reportedly prefer to join the Miami Heat if a trade were to come to fruition, per Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.

Rozier has impressed this season. The 29-year-old is averaging 24 points per game on 45.7 percent field goal and 36.9 percent three-point shooting. He is also recording 6.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per outing. Rozier will likely draw interest from around the league given his performance.

He is also capable of playing either guard position. The Heat's guards include Kyle Lowry and Tyler Herro. Depth wise, players such as Josh Richardson and Duncan Robinson have seen playing time. Rozier would represent an upgrade for Miami, although it is uncertain if the Heat have interest in Rozier.

It will be intriguing to see if the Heat and Hornets engage in trade talks.

Hornets: Terry Rozier is an intriguing trade candidate

Rozier has played in the NBA since 2015. He is an established veteran who happens to be in the middle of an All-Star caliber campaign.

It isn't as if this is Rozier's first big season either. He's always been a productive scoring option with respectable passing skills. Rozier has also averaged at least one steal per game in each of the past four years, something that has continued so far in 2023-24.

The Hornets are willing to listen to trade offers for Rozier. They will want an enticing trade package for him, however. Whether the Heat display interest or not, we can expect Rozier to be a popular trade candidate ahead of the upcoming deadline.
