The Washington Wizards are trading small forward Otto Porter to the Chicago Bulls for power forward Bobby Portis and swingman Jabari Parker, according to Shams Charania of The Atheltic.

Bobby Portis will become a restricted free agent this summer. Jabari Parker has a team option for next season worth $20 million. The Bulls have been trying to trade Parker for the past month and have finally accomplished their goal.

Otto Porter, meanwhile, is making $26,011,913 this season. He's owed $27,250,575 in 2019-20 and has a player option worth $28,489,238 for the 2020-21 campaign.

In 41 games this season for the Wizards, Otto Porter averaged 12.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 45.7 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from beyond the arc and 76.6 percent from the free-throw line. The 25-year-old is joining a Bulls team which is 12-41 on the season, 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Jabari Parker is putting up 14.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He'll give the Wizards another scoring threat alongside star shooting guard Bradley Beal. Parker was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. The Chicago native has suffered two ACL tears.

Bobby Portis is going to provide Washington with toughness, energy and rebounding. The 23-year-old is putting up 14.1 points and 7.3 rebounds this season and shooting 45.0 percent overall.

The Wizards are 22-31, 10th place in the East. The hope in the nation's capital is that Parker and Portis will help the Wizards make the playoffs.
