There have been plenty of trade rumors surrounding New York Knicks forward Marcus Morris. While he's a coveted player on the trade market, the Knicks have interest in keeping him around and he wants to stay. Still, that could change as the trade deadline draws near and suitors improve their offers.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski shared news of the Knicks' stance on Morris in a report that was issued on Monday morning. As part of his report, Wojarowski hinted that trade offers for the former No. 14 overall pick will continue to become “richer” as the deadline nears:

As Wojnarowski noted in his report, the Knicks are still open to the idea of signing Morris to a new deal this offseason. However, it also sounds like they're listening to offers from interested teams.

Though the Knicks (14-36 overall) have struggled to find a rhythm this season, Morris is playing well. In fact, he's posting the best statistical figures of his career. In his 42 appearances, the 30-year-old forward has racked up averages of 19.4 points on 44.0 percent shooting from the field (43.8 percent from beyond the arc), 5.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and just under one steal (0.8) in 32.2 minutes per outing.

Morris led the Knicks to a 92-85 victory over the Pacers on Saturday, scoring a team-high 28 points on 10-of-21 shooting (3-of-7 from downtown). Notably, 12 of his 28 points came in the fourth quarter alone:

“We stayed together throughout the entire game,” the Knicks forward said, via ESPN. “We defended really well and beat a good team. We stuck to the game plan. I think we all played well. It's just a good win for us. From start to finish we played really well.”

The Knicks will be back in action on Monday night, when they'll face off against the Cavs. Tip-off inside Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
