It's an open secret to many NBA fans that the Los Angeles Lakers are shopping Kyle Kuzma around in the hopes of acquiring a third star that will complete the Lakers' championship core. However, it's also clear to everyone eyeing the situation that there's still no clear destination for the young forward.

According to Lakers Outsiders, the Purple and Gold have given interested teams conflicting information about Kuzma's availability. The lack of reliable information is stopping teams that want to acquire Kuzma from coming up with a real offer.

The Lakers Outsiders quoted Brian Windhorst:

“Kuzma is their best trade asset and I’m just going to say, there’s conflicting information out there about him. I’ve talked to three or four different teams who told me ‘Kyle Kuzma is available for trade. He can be had.’ There have been reports elsewhere and other people elsewhere have said that the Lakers have indicated they do not want to trade him.”

Kuzma has grown into a fantastic third option for the Lakers. He's currently averaging 13.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 0.9 assists on 47%/35%/75% shooting splits. His youth and ability to shoot the basketball makes him a valued asset for the Lakers and a high-value acquisition for teams looking to rebuild the right way.

One of the possible destinations for Kuzma is New Orleans. He will rejoin Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart in the Big Easy in exchange for Jrue Holiday. This is one of the most popular trades that could possibly happen as he was a valued target by the Pelicans last season.

However, no one can tell what will happen until the trade deadline comes and goes. No one besides Rob Pelinka knows where Kuzma would possibly go.
