There are some basketball players that came when they came out of college and declare for the NBA draft, many think they will be starts. Greg Oden and Jimmer Fredette are two of those players.

However, Oden's career never took off because of injuries, and Fredette's flamed out because his game never translated to the NBA. But now, the two will play against each other in The Basketball Tournament.

Oden, now 3o, has had some decent performances thus far in the tournament. The video below shows off some moves he still has, even though he retired from the NBA in 2016.

The team Oden is on, The Scarlet Gray, will play Fredette's team (actually called Team Fredette) in the Super 16 of the tournament. Earlier in the tournament, Fredette poured in 41 points and drained a bunch of 3-pointers, showing that his shooting stroke still hasn't gone anywhere.

The matchup between the two players will be an interesting one for fans to watch. Oden and Fredette are largely considered draft busts, and are trying to find some way to keep their love of basketball alive by playing in TBT.

Fredette has played in China and did well there, averaging 37 points per game, according to Jack Baer of Yahoo Sports. But it's unclear exactly what Oden has been doing on the basketball front these past couple of years.

Either way, the two once-heralded prospects are still hopping, and having the time of their lives doing it. Perhaps there is a place for them in some sort of professional basketball after all.
