LaVar Ball once said that he will beat Michael Jordan one-on-one. But maybe he has to fine-tune his lay-up skills first?

Ball went up against a guy to showcase his basketball skills. After all, he did play some Division 1 college ball for Washington State. He averaged just 2.2 points per game but this doesn't discount the fact that he can ball.

While he definitely has the strength, he doesn't have the finishing ability just like his son Lonzo. Watch him miss a layup at point-blank range:

Of course, Ball redeemed himself with a long bomb right in the face of his defender. It sent him and the small crowd watching to a frenzy. Are his basketball skills enough to beat the greatest of all time? Or are his basketball fundamentals still in question?

Some criticize Ball for his big mouth and the outrageous comments that leaks out of it. Most disagree with him and his decisions. But we can never take away the fact that it is these comments that have established the Ball family on the basketball map. Lest we forget, it was Ball who trained his son Lonzo — whom critics and fellow players say has a basketball IQ like one of the greats.
