OG Anunoby of the Toronto Raptors and Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz both got ejected after a heated encounter in Monday's duel in Salt Lake City.

As the Raptors were about to cross halfcourt against the Jazz, notice how Anunoby seemingly tried to land a vicious elbow at Gobert. Gobert and Mike Conley saw the attempt and immediately complained to the referees. Before hell broke loose, the two were separated. Yet this didn't prevent the officials from slapping them with ejections.

Just a few seconds earlier, Anunoby swatted Gobert's dunk attempt. While this was not the direct cause of the altercation, it surely heated things up for both players. Raptors-Jazz created a much higher temperature in the arena, a sign that two teams slugging away late in the regular season have plenty of intensity and aren't going through the motions.

In the end, it was the Raptors who prevailed 101-92. Serge Ibaka and Pascal Siakam both dropped 27 points. For the Jazz, Joe Ingles led the way with 20 points followed by Royce O'Neale's 15 points.
