Damian Lillard and Russell Westbrook had a heated moment in Game 2 of the 2019 NBA Playoff series between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Lillard hounded Westbrook on the sidelines in the 2:43 mark of the second period. The Thunder superstar went down to the floor with the Blazers franchise player staring down on him. Good thing for both teams, cooler heads prevailed as players were able to separate Lillard and Westbrook before it turned into something ugly.

It is no secret that Westbrook and Lillard do not like each other. While he said that he respects Westbrook, Lillard told The Athletic earlier this year that he and Westbrook aren't best friends. Before their playoff series started, Lillard said that there is something between him and his Thunder counterpart.

“There's something there,” Lillard said via Jason Quick of The Athletic. “When Russ see me, and when I see him, it’s two dogs fighting. That’s what it is. I think it will be a great series.”

Westbrook was in his usual rhythm in Game 1 of their series, as he ended up with a triple-double with 24 points on top of 10 rebounds and 10 assists. However, Lillard had the last laugh, as his Blazers ended up with a 104-99 road win at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

Lillard finished with a game-high 30 points with five three-pointers, while also adding four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. He also got a lot of help from Enes Kanter, who ended up with 20 points and 18 boards. CJ McCollum added 14 points and six rebounds for Portland.
