Is Hawks star Trae Young playing vs. Bulls
As of this moment, it's still unclear. Hawks head coach Nate McMillan said Thursday morning that his star point guard is a game-time decision, while John Collins is out, per Kevin Chouinard of Hawks.com.
Article Continues BelowYoung would certainly love to play and get some revenge on Chicago. Atlanta is 0-3 against the Bulls this season, including a heartbreaking loss last week coming out of the All-Star break. In that game, Young had one of his worst performances of the season, shooting 3-of-17 from the field as he struggled against rookie Ayo Dosunmu.
The Hawks star had 31 points against the Celtics despite his injury, but that wasn't enough to avoid a disappointing collapse after going up 17 points. The loss dropped Atlanta to 29-32 on the season, which has them in 10th place in the Eastern Conference. The Hawks are only a game up on the 11th-place Washington Wizards, so every game matters as they try to secure a spot in the play-in tournament.
This season has been a major disappointment for Atlanta after the Eastern Conference Finals run last season, though Young has been terrific. The Hawks point guard went to the All-Star Game and is averaging 27.9 points, 9.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds while shooting 45.8% from the field and 37.6% from 3-point range.
But when it comes to the matter of Trae Young playing tonight against the Bulls, we're going to have to wait and find out.
