Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young not only struggled against the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2, but the most effective aspect of his game was also shut down.
The Hawks were absolutely destroyed by the Bucks in their Game 2 showdown in the Eastern Conference Finals, with Young being a non-factor in the 125-91 defeat. The All-Star sharpshooter scored just 15 points on 6-of-16 shooting from the field, while also recording only two rebounds and three assists.
It is the first time Young has scored below 20 points in the 2021 playoffs, and per ESPN Stats & Info, his lack of fouls drawn might just be the culprit. He only had one foul draw during Friday's contest, while he had nine in Game 1 when he exploded for 48 points.
Trae Young drew 1 foul tonight, his fewest in any game since Nov. 13, 2018 against the Warriors. It is the 3rd time in his career he drew 0 or 1 foul.

A lot has been said about Trae Young's foul-fishing technique, and while a lot of players and fans are annoyed by it, it is actually effective for the youngster.
Unfortunately, it simply didn't work against the Bucks, who did a great job at limiting Young's options. Jrue Holiday guarded his fellow playmaker, and to say he put the clamps on him would be an understatement.
For what it's worth, Young is not the only one to blame for the Hawks' defeat. After all, he still top-scored for the team despite the clear struggles. However, the other Atlanta players also failed to step up and ease the workload when the Milwaukee defense focused on him.
The series is now tied at 1-11, but the Hawks might be in big trouble if they don't find a way to get Young going and allow him to play his brand of basketball.
