The Phoenix Suns will be tasked during their matchup with the Atlanta Hawks with doing something that no team has managed to accomplish. That task? Finding a way to slow down Trae Young.

When asked about how the Suns can defend Young, head coach Monty Williams did not sound too confident. He told Chris Kirschner of The Athletic that ‘nobody's figured it out.'

The recent performances that Young has put together have been incredibly impressive. He is averaging 35.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 11.0 assists over his last three games while surpassing 30 points and 10 assists in each of those games.

Young has even joined LeBron James and Michael Jordan as the only players to ever record multiple games with at least 40 points and 10 assists before turning 22-years-old.

The next step for Young will be to lead the Hawks to a playoff appearance in the Eastern Conference. While he was sidelined for a few games due to injury, Atlanta has posted a 4-6 record and is currently trailing the Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers for the 7th spot in the East standings.

So far this season, Young is averaging an impressive 28.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 8.7 assists. His production has been incredible for a player that is only 21-years-old. After struggling for about the first two months of his rookie season, he has been playing at an incredible level.

The Suns will get their chance to at least attempt to slow down Young when they face the Hawks on Thursday at 9 PM EDT.
