Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks took down the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night despite the fact that the great Kevin Durant exploded for a career-high 55 points in another epic performance. Young wasn't too bad himself, dropping a team-high 36 points as he led the Hawks to a hard-fought 122-115 victory over Brooklyn.

Young was up to his usual antics in this one and at one point in the game, the Hawks superstar decided to bust out his infamous shimmy all over Durant (Hawks on Twitter):

The Nets gave Young all sorts of time and space in this one and he made sure to make them pay. Trae busted out his notorious dance move as KD tried to contest his wide-open triple. The best part about this is that Young always does his move first even before taking his shot. This is just how confident this young man is.

For good measure, here's one of the first manifestations of Trae Young's shimmy when he showed it off against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals last season:

Giannis wasn't too happy about that and I'm guessing KD feels the same way as well.

That wasn't all for Trae Young on Saturday, too. The Hawks guard also busted out his shimmy again along with ice-cold celebration after hitting a dagger trey late in the fourth period.

Young virtually ended Brooklyn's night with that triple as he gave the Hawks separation in what was a tightly-contested matchup throughout. It was a big win for Atlanta too, as they have now tied the Nets for the seventh spot in the East. Both teams now have an identical 40-37 record.

KD may have dropped a 50-piece over the Hawks, but in the end, it was Trae Young who had the last laugh.

Atlanta now has just four games remaining in the regular season. They start off the final stretch with a back-to-back set against the Raptors in Toronto on Tuesday, followed by a showdown at home against the Washington Wizards the following night. The Hawks end their season with two road games against the Miami Heat on Friday followed by the Houston Rockets on Sunday.
