The fact that it came without any contact from an opposing player and had to be helped to the locker room were ominous signs regarding the severity of the injury. But the good news is that Trae Young was quickly labeled as “questionable” mere minutes later for a right groin injury rather than a knee issue and in fact returned to the game.
UPDATE: Trae Young is questionable to return with right groin soreness, the team announced. He's currently warming up as halftime winds down.

Not only did Trae Young return, but he also kept up his scorching hot pace during the game to the tune of 30 points and nine assists on 9-for-17 shooting from the field. With the Hawks up by 25 points entering the fourth quarter, Young was able to sit out the final frame and get some much-needed rest after his injury scare.
